The Lakes

In the Town of Prince's Lakes, there are 14 privately owned lakes. These lakes are managed by Lake Lot Owners' Associations and Conservancies and are not freely open to the public. The Lake Lot Owners' Associations and Conservancies manage access, rules, dam oversight, and work toward and stay in complaince with IDEM (Indiana Department of Evironmental Management) and USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).

Lake Conservancies have legal taxing and regulatory authority. They include all property owners within it's district, and have governmental authority over it. The Conservancies enforce regulations over the Lakes and properties within it's district, as well as manage finances.

Lake Lot Owners' Associations are private organizations with lake management authority. They include their districts and enforce rules and regulations over the Lakes within them. They also manage activities and finances.
